Astrophotography for Beginners at Space Place!

The evening begins at Space Place with a live star talk in the planetarium, where you’ll learn about the night sky and how to locate different stars and constellations. JM Beltran will then share his best advice on how to capture the stars through your camera lens; composition, camera settings, and other useful insights.

As darkness falls, hop on the bus and travel to Pariwhero Red Rocks, where you’ll put your new knowledge into practice beneath one of Wellington’s most dramatic coastal nightscapes. Canon camera gear provided by Rubber Monkey will include everything you need to capture some amazing shots to take home.

This event suits beginners, enthusiasts, and anyone keen to refine their skills.
